3D printed collar and skirt - 89 3D printed flexible panels, 6 battery packs, 4m EL wire, 4m LED strip.
Fashion has become ubiquitous form of communication and Technology is heading toward ubiquity, so it makes sense to combine the two.
This work smuggles tech into fashion. The shirt and skirt are 3D printed patchwork forms which references construction methods from the future and the past. Woven into the skirt, dynamic warm red strips of EL wire suggest that there is a reason for caution. The shirt collar is at times illuminated with LEDs which respond to a proximity sensor, The sensor and LEDs alert the wearer that the spectator is too close. The spectator could blow their cover.
